Nexus Civil delivered the construction of a new shared-use path along the Midland Highway, significantly improving pedestrian and cyclist connectivity along a key transport corridor in Benalla. The project forms part of the Council’s broader active transport network, enhancing safety, accessibility and connectivity for pedestrians, cyclists and residents.
The works were undertaken within a live road environment, requiring detailed staging, comprehensive traffic management and close coordination with multiple stakeholders. The scope included reinforced concrete and spray sealed paths, intersection upgrades, drainage improvements and accessibility features, all constructed in accordance with VicRoads and IDM standards to ensure long-term durability, safety and compliance.
